Flights
The airport on Lesvos is Mytilene International Airport (Airport code: MJT).
For transportation to and from Lesvos, we recommend that you book your tickets in stages for the best price and experience.
Example booking in two stages (1) round-trip from US to Athens, (2) Athens to Mytilene.
Example booking in three stages: (1) round-trip from US to Europe, (2)
European city to Athens, and (3) Athens to Mytilene.There are a few International European Airports that you can bypass Athens and go directly to Mytilene.
We recommend using Hopper and/or Google Flights for flight preparation.
From the Mytilene Airport, we can pre-arrange a taxi driver to bring you one hour to the retreat center.
Boats
Another popular option is to get to Lesvos by boat! Greece is known for its islands, and island hopping by boat is the best way to get to know the country more.
There are daily boats that will bring you to the port in Lesvos ("Mytilene") from Athens ("Pireaus").

Once you arrive in Mytilene we can assist in scheduling a known taxi driver to bring you to the retreat center. The drive is around one hour and costs around 70-80 euros, one way. These rides can be shared with other participants and arranged in advance once we know your date and time of arrival.
local transport in molyvos
Taxis are always available to call for short trips through town. Rental cars, motorcycles, or bicycles can be rented if you wish, although not necessary. Each day we have a long lunch period that provides you with the flexibility to explore the Island of Lesvos on your own. However you may simply enjoy the walk from the retreat center to town and the beach which takes about 15-20 minutes.
