About the Land
We will be held on the sacred lands of the Yucatán Peninsula, a region steeped in ancient Mayan wisdom, cenotes (natural freshwater sinkholes), tropical jungle, and lush biodiversity. The Yucatán is known for its vibrant culture, deep connection to the earth, and the living presence of indigenous traditions that continue to thrive.
Located in southeastern Mexico, this land holds centuries of ceremonial history and is home to countless sacred sites and underground rivers, revered by the Maya as portals to the spirit world. It is a place where the veil feels thin — where the rhythms of nature speak clearly and the earth teaches in whispers and waves.
Our retreat will take place near the cenotes and coastline, where turquoise waters, limestone caves, and the pulse of the jungle offer an ideal setting for deep remembering and replenishment.
About the Waters
Cenotes are the hidden wombs of the Earth ~ crystalline freshwater sanctuaries nestled beneath the limestone skin of the Yucatán. According to ancient Mayan tradition, they are portals to the underworld, sacred spaces for ceremony, offering, and communion with the unseen.
Entering the living temple of a cenote is a return ~ to the source, to stillness, to the deep feminine that holds and births all life. These waters invite us to surrender, to soften, to be held in the primordial embrace of Mother Earth. Within their depths, time dissolves, and the body remembers what it means to be nourished, purified, and reawakened.
To descend into a cenote is to enter the cosmic womb. A place of mystery, dissolution, and sacred renewal.
The Retreat Center
Our home is a spiritual retreat center located in the Yucatán Peninsula, known for its focus on wellness, healing, and connection to nature. It often offers yoga, meditation, temazcal ceremonies (a type of indigenous sweat lodge), and other holistic experiences. Ecologically designed, it is built as part of a restored hacienda, with historical buildings as well as new, and 6 swimming pools surrounded by pristine, magical gardens.
The Curriculum
This immersion invites you to develop and refine your essential skills for grounding and centering in yourself, creating and maintaining safety and trust with others, increasing healing potency in your touch and sensitivity in your awareness. With dynamic stillness as the guide, we cultivate the capacity to support our body’s innate wisdom of healing – in ourselves, in each other, and in the world.
We delve into the art and science of the gentle and profound healing modality known as biodynamic craniosacral. With presence, stillness and wholeness as primary orientations, we explore practices such as embodied felt-sense, resonant touch, resting in midline, and abiding in neutral. We learn how to listen to Primary Respiration and the Breath of Life, sensing tides, fulcrums, stillpoints, subtle rhythms, states of consciousness, and more.
Lightly guided somatic movement sessions grace our mornings, connecting us deeper into our embodiment and bridge seamlessly into our stillness practices.
*This immersion offers a Certificate of Completion for 28 CEU’s through NCBTMB. It does not, however, certify you to become a craniosacral practitioner. Consider this a beautiful beginning, a jumpstart into a lifelong path of cultivation, embodied presence and resonant attunement.
The Flow
The first day is dedicated to landing and grounding — arriving on the land and also in our bodies, hearts, and intentions. It is a space to meet and greet the earth and waters and to build a safe container with each other for our deep dive. We will have time to sit in circle, to explore the surroundings, to slow down and to begin to open to the inner wellspring of our being.
On the second day we begin our four-day craniosacral training curriculum. In this time we fully dedicate ourselves to stillness meditation, somatic movement, and craniosacral biodynamics — how to awaken our awareness, sensitivity, touch and presence for healing. Spacious lunch breaks give us enough free time to nourish and rest. Special excursions will include a pilgrimages to swim in the cenotes and tour of Izamal, “the Yellow City”.
Our final full day is in dedication to integrating and harvesting all the wisdom received, ritualizing our closure, and preparing ourselves for the journey home.
