PURPOSE & INTENT

The purpose of Year Two: The Deepening Spiral is to offer dedicated students a space to refine their capacity for embodied listening and relational presence within the safety and continuity of a committed cohort. This year builds upon the foundations established in Year One, inviting each participant into subtler territories of perception and transmission — where the work begins to reveal itself from within.

Through this next turning of the spiral, students are supported to deepen not only their professional healing skills but also their personal evolution. The transformation that arises through this work is often profound — touching one’s way of being, perceiving, and relating in every aspect of life.

This program continues in the spirit of oral tradition and mentor-apprentice lineage, honoring the living stream of Biodynamic Healing while upholding the ethics, integrity, and sacred responsibility of this work. Each student will again be individually paired with a mentor (instructor or lead assistant) and supported throughout the year with four 1:1 mentoring calls, designed to nourish both skill and inner development.

While grounded in the Biodynamic Principles, it is essential to remember that our training remains alive, emergent, and fluid — responsive to the needs of the field as they unfold. The outlined learning intentions serve only as a foundation from which each immersion naturally evolves. Each module becomes a living inquiry into what the field is asking to be met, seen, and explored.

Reading material and reflective practices will be assigned between sessions to deepen integration and support the unfolding of the teachings.

MORE DETAILS

Year Two builds on the foundations of Year One and moves into the more nuanced, technical layers of biodynamic healing work. After the initiation of Year One, the group now has a deeper ground to work from, which allows us to enter more advanced territory. Of course, the exact depth and pacing will be attuned to the field of the group as it evolves.

More advanced Material, including —

  • mid-tide and long-tide characteristics and diagnostics

  • deeper nervous system dynamics

  • birth processes, early imprinting, and shock/trauma patterning

  • more complex fulcrums, inertia patterns, and resolution processes

  • focused anatomical study (each module will have its own anatomical theme)

Individualized Mentorship — Year Two includes required mentor sessions as part of completion, so each student receives the 1:1 reflection and support needed to truly advance their work. With the smaller cohort, I’m also able to offer more direct guidance, including:

  • personalized feedback during hands-on practice

  • support with your outside practice sessions

  • refinement of perceptual skills and clinical tracking

  • insight around your individual strengths, blind spots, and growth edges

  • support for your personal edges, inertias and blind-spots

Expanded Theoretical Framework — you learn more of the underlying principles, models, and concepts that guide biodynamic work, such as:

  • how tides organize the system

  • how fulcrums form and resolve

  • how the nervous system behaves under different conditions

  • how early imprints shape patterns

  • how the relational field influences outcomes

  • It’s the map that helps you understand what you’re perceiving.

Expanded Anatomical Framework — we study specific areas of the body in a more detailed, practical way so you can:

  • feel structures more accurately under your hands

  • recognize patterns related to certain anatomical systems

  • understand how anatomy expresses through the tides

  • connect anatomy to perceptual skills

Each session will include

  • extended hands-on practice

  • partner and triad sessions

  • guided perceptual exercises

  • specific somatic movement practices connected to each module’s theme

Overall, Year Two is designed to help you work with greater confidence, clarity, and fluency, developing the ability to track complex systems with greater understanding and more precision while staying resourced, relational, and attuned.

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

  • Full Attendance of the Four in-person four-day immersions

  • Required Practice Sessions with Notes

  • Required 1:1 Supervision/Mentorship Calls with Mentor. (Add-on mentorship sessions can be arranged as needed.)

  • Four Group Supervision Calls

  • A final session to staff

CERTIFICATION

Upon completion of this year and its requirements, you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Biodynamic Healing (266 hours) from the School of Biodynamic Healing Arts, reflecting the two years of completion.

It is my desire to create a modality that honors the depth of the biodynamic tradition while also freeing us from the bureaucracy that often surrounds Craniosacral Therapy. Biodynamic Healing gives you something you can genuinely offer – sessions rooted in presence, integrity, and field awareness – without needing to become part of a licensing system that, I feel, often doesn’t recognize the true heart and roots of this work.

This work is not simply a set of techniques; Dr. Sutherland said himself that it is impossible to learn a set of techniques from someone – you need to be in the presence of an embodied transmission to learn how to respond to each moment as entirely different and new. This is a way of being: a way of perceiving, listening, and relating. It is a maturation of presence and a deepening of your capacity to hold a biodynamic field with integrity, skill, and safety. Year Two is where these capacities truly take shape.

By the end of the two-year arc, you will have the opportunity to develop the foundations needed to offer Biodynamic Healing Sessions – a non-clinical, somatic practice rooted in relational presence, nervous system attunement, fluid body listening, and dynamic stillness.

While this certification is not a license to practice “Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy” or any regulated health modality, it does give you the ability to offer Biodynamic Healing Sessions, which are grounded in:

  • resonant touch

  • nervous system attunement

  • field listening

  • fluid body awareness

  • support of embodiment, coherence, and holistic shifts

  • a biodynamic, presence-based approach that is profoundly impactful

These sessions are not clinical treatments – they are relational, perceptual, and educational. And they are deeply needed in these times.

Certification not automatic or guaranteed — it is fully dependent on completing the requirements and meeting the qualifications (required mentor sessions, practice sessions with notes, and one final exam session).

This cohort is FULL.
